History

Susanne has been working in Montessori education for the past 20 years. She is certified by the International Montessori Association in both Primary and Infant education. Additionally, she has a Masters Degree in Education from Loyola College in Maryland. She is certified in permaculture design, and teaches mindfulness meditation. She is an inspired gardener, occasional surfer, enjoys playing the ukulele and being happy.

Noemi has been at Beautiful Sun for eleven years. After completing her studies in Aruba she moved to Holland for several years and had her first of two children there. She loves nature, hiking, traditional Aruban cooking methods, gardening, and being with children. She is particularly fascinated by the earliest years of child development.

Katyuska runs our kitchen, gardening and recycling program. She helps to provide the children with nutritious food, cares for our plants, and keep our school as low waste as possible. She is an excellent baker and loves to plan parties and events.

Nelsy takes over when the children have all gone home. She keeps our school ship shape!
